Every child should reach their full potential. There are roughly 5 million children under the age of 18 with at least one parent who is living in the U.S. illegally, about 79% of those adolescents are U.S. citizens. The above statistics tell us that we have a long road ahead of us and that we need enlightened representatives in government to stand up for these families. We are dedicated to being their voice because we believe that a better way is possible.
“That is the part that breaks our heart, but we know that we have to be there for them and be strong, says Nora”. “We have to lift their spirits and tell them, ‘Everything will be OK, one day you’ll be reunited, one day you’ll have justice and everything will be resolved. Meanwhile, study hard in school to make your parents proud.’
“Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice.” Nelson Mandela
